Ray DellaMura born 1989 in New Haven CT. Is an oil painter inspired by vintage ads, old fashion magazines, and retro adult imagery. He uses classic painting techniques to reimagine these images. The work explores how beauty, sexuality, and media influence our understanding of art and culture, inviting viewers to reconsider the images that shape our world.

At its core, his work is about presence and absence—the things we reveal, the things we withhold, and the spaces in between.

DellaMura completed his undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College with a Bachelors in Art. He then studied realistic oil portrait painting at SVA’s extended learning program.
